Bears, Angels and Kings Management Put Shutout Behind Them

Several Bears players, including linebacker Lance Briggs, are now downplaying their being refused entry to the nightclub Angels and Kings Monday night. About 20 Bears players arrived at the club for "rookie night," only to be turned away despite informing club personnel of their arrival.
Although other Bears, such as defensive end Israel Idonije, said that sometimes even athletes get turned away from the velvet ropes, Briggs suggested at the time of the incident that race may have played a factor.
Angels and Kings management has since fired the outside vendor they hired to program Monday nights at the club and their explanations regarding the snub seem to have satisfied Briggs and other Bears that the lockout wasn't racially motivated.
We say go ahead and hire those doormen to be offensive linemen.
