DeKalb police have identified a "person of interest" in the homicide investigation of NIU student Antinette "Toni" Keller.
Antinette "Toni" Keller.
Without divulging details as to where the person of interest is currently located, DeKalb Police Chief Bill Feithen said the person is being held on obstruction of justice and unlawful possession of a motor vehicle in another state and is awaiting extradition back to Illinois.
Keller, of Plainfield, was reported missing October 14 after telling friends she was heading toward Prairie Park in DeKalb. Police found remains near the park on October 16, but they had been so badly destroyed that they could not be identified, leading police to consider Keller's disappearance a homicide investigation.
