Last week we saw a flurry of discussion around the "war" on foodies, and the followup in which we armed ourselves with pies. From time to time we like to try to shine a little further light on our writings through the power of conversation, so we welcomed the new regime of F&D Editor Anthony Todd to the Podcast. We spent a few minutes talking about what caused so much digital trouble between foodist "elites" and the anti-connoisseurs alike.

What's behind some of these articles touting the anti-foodie line? How much of this is born of ignorance on both sides? Is it a class argument? An education problem? Is it just plain ol' backlash? And is it time to take the quote-unquote away from the "war" and call it what it is: an epic battle for the ages?
