AP Projects Quinn As Winner of Governor's Race

Gov. Pat Quinn holds up his John F. Kennedy campaign pin as he addresses supporters believing he has won the gubernatorial race over Republican Bill Brady, in the midterm election Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 in Chicago. Quinn is seeking his first full term as governor after the impeachment of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The Associated Press is projecting Pat Quinn as the winner of the Governor's race. With 100 percent of precincts reporting and only absentee ballots left to count, Quinn has a lead over state Senator Bill Brady of 19.400 votes.

Brady has said that he will not concede until all votes are counted, but his window of opportunity to overtake Quinn is narrow, at best.
