Students at Western Illinois University in Macomb are understandably nervous after a half dozen bomb threats have been made at the school over the last several weeks, and are asking the school to up security on campus. At a recent meeting with over 100 students in attendance, many expressed that they "no longer feel safe" at the university. WIU President Al Goldfarb said that while the school is working with the FBI and takes the threats seriously, he says business as usual is the name of the game:
"I will tell you we will not close the university. This is an example of bullying in which someone is trying to control us."

That wasn't good enough for some students such as junior Tyre Davis, who said that "questions aren't being answered" and that it doesn't seem as if police presence has increased on campus since the threats, adding, "[university officials are] not going to get it."

WIU is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that helps capture the person or persons that made the threats.
