New job. New town. We’ve all been there. No doubt it is tough to figure out where to live and eat when starting anew far from home. But, some of Illinois’ newest representatives in Congress sound a lot more like new college grads than high-powered politicos as they struggle to figure out housing in DC.

Things start out nice enough, as all new members of Congress will enjoy an all expenses paid week at the posh L’Enfant Plaza Hotel this week. But after that, they are on their own. And a pair of Illinois’ newbies look to be taking a big step down as they scramble to find accommodations. Rep. Adam Kinzinger has been looking at one-bedroom apartments. And pizza twirling Rep. Bobby Schilling tells the AP he is probably just going to sleep in his office for a while until he can find a like-minded roommate. Perhaps Kinzinger and Schilling can bunk up with Wisconsin’s Sean Duffy, who was a cast member of Real World Boston back in the late 90s---now that would be an interesting new reality show. Got any good suggestions for a series name?
