So the Bulls wrapped up the Texas leg of their road trip, while the Blackhawks continued to work their way through Alberta. How did they fare?
Basketball
Bulls 88, Mavericks 83: In what's becoming a habit on their road trip, the Bulls came out strong in the first and second periods, then let the home team back in the game after halftime. Last night, the results were decidedly in the Bulls favor, as Taj Gibson his a clutch three-pointer late to help beat the Mavericks. The Bulls had a decided 59-34 advantage on the backboards, with Joakim Noah (17) and Gibson (18) outrebounding the entire Mavericks team by themselves. Derrick Rose once again paced the Bulls offensive attack with 22 points. Most important is the Bulls now have a 2-1 record on the road trip.
Hockey
Flames 7, Blackhawks 2: The Blackhawks couldn't build on the momentum of their win in Edmonton Wednesday night. Calgary captain Jarome Iginla notched a hat trick to lead the rout.
