Daniel Day-Lewis Playing Abe Lincoln

Lincoln is Coming Again We're pretty obsessed with the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, not only because he looks good on our pennies but because he did some pretty cool stuff while he was in office, too. Academy-award winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis recently visited Springfield, Illinois and toured the Lincoln Presidential Museum, Lincoln's home, the Old State Capitol and the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices to prepare for his next role as President Lincoln in a film directed by none other than movie giant, Steven Spielberg.

The movie, titled Lincoln, is a biographical film that will "focus on the political collision of Lincoln and his cabinet over abolition and the end of the civil war." The movie itself is an adaptation from a book titled, "Team of Rivals" by Doris Kearns Goodwin. The screenplay is written by award-winning Tony Kushner. Even though Daniel Day-Lewis isn't an American actor, we certainly don't think he will disappoint playing the great American president on-screen.
