Benjy will recap yesterday's Allstate Wrigleyville Classic between Illinois and Northwestern tomorrow. In the meantime, here's how the rest of our local teams fared.

Hockey

Blackhawks 7, Canucks 1: After being humiliated in Calgary Friday night, the Blackhawks came correct against their bitter rivals in Vancouver. Fernando Pisani scored two goals, Jonathan Toews added one of his own, and Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa each had three points as the Hawks gave the Canucks their biggest loss on home ice ever. Corey Crawford was solid in net for the Blackhawks, making 27 saves a night after Marty Turco gave up seven goals.

College Football

Notre Dame 27, Army 3: While Illinois and NU were playing Losers Walk at Wrigley, Notre Dame had an easy time of Army's Black Knights at new Yankee Stadium. Freshman QB Tommy Rees, making his second careeer start, threw for 214 yards with a touchdown and interception.

NIU 59, Ball St. 21: The Huskies clinched the MAC West title with a convincing rout of the Cardinals in Muncie, IN. QB Chandler Harnish tossed two TD passes on 247 yards to pace NIU.
