Quinn, Brady Have "Sandwich Summit"

By Chuck Sudo in News on Nov 24, 2010 2:00PM

Bill Brady took up Gov. Quinn's offer to meet at Manny's for a post-gubernatorial campaign sandwich yesterday. Much like the "beer summit" between Senator-elect Mark Kirk and Alexi Giannoulias, this photo op was as natural and organic as the colors in the Oprah Winfrey Network logo.

Just look at that photo. Brady, turning on the campaign charm like he still has a chance at bridging that 19,000 vote gap between him and Quinn. Quinn looking like Brady spit on his sandwich and would rather be anywhere but Manny's with him. the 10-foot "circle of silence" around them as media take it all in.

If it's this simple to use some of the best corned beef in the city to bridge the divide between two politicians, you'd see Quinn offering the real opponents to his agenda such as Mike Madigan a Manny's sandwich every day. It makes for a good photo, but actions speak louder than words.
