Basketball

Bulls 123, Suns 115 (2 OT): We are so glad we got to watch this game on WGN last night, because it was a classic. It also should have erased any lingering doubts about Derrick Rose. He's going to be a future MVP. Rose's 35 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists once again led the way as the Bulls charged back from a 25-6 deficit after tipoff to win this game in two overtimes. Luol Deng bounced back from a lackluster performance against the Lakers to score 26 points and grab 10 rebounds, Joakim Noah had another double double with 17 points and 15 boards, and Kyle Korver pitched in 24 points off the bench.

Hockey

Sharks 5, Blackhawks 2: Former Blackhawks goalie Antti Niemi has struggled with San Jose since signing a one-year, $2 million contract, but Sharks coach Todd McLellan thought starting him in goal against the team for whom he was an integral part of a Stanley Cup run would spark his team. McLellan was spot-on. Niemi stopped 30 shots an paced the Sharks over the Blackhawks.

Jake Dowell and Patrick Sharp were the goal scorers for the Blackhawks.
