Hollus Releases “Lucy Grey” Video

By Sarah Cobarrubias in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 1, 2010 7:40PM

Last week, local rock band Hollus released a brand new video for “Lucy Grey,” taken from the band’s latest EP Part One. The single has an epic feel, full of dramatic vocals and gritty, rising guitar riffs. With lyrics like “Oh Lucy Gray, where have you been? The bridge gave. You strayed,” we assume it was inspired by William Wordsworth’s poem Lucy Gray, which narrates the story of a young lady who disappeared in a snow storm. The video itself portrays a young lady wandering through a field and (a little too ominously) a graveyard, balanced with footage of the band performing the track.

The 6-song EP is available to stream in full over at Hollus's Bandcamp. As the title indicates, Part One is the first part of a two-piece series, so keep your ears open for the release of Part Two in 2011. You can also catch Hollus’s live performance Thursday, Dec. 16 at Subterranean. Also playing are Gypsy Blood and Brontosaurus. In the meantime, check out the new video for “Lucy Grey”:
