Houston we have a problem and it comes in twos. Don't let the last two blowout losses fool you as the dynamic duo of Derrick Rose and Carlos Boozer came to life in the Bulls' 119-116 overtime victory over the Houston Rockets Saturday night.
Boozer got off to an aggressive start, finishing with 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Rose again led the way with 30 points, 11 assists, 7 rebounds, and a career-high 5 steals. The Bulls seemed more in sync with Luol Deng also finding his groove grabbing 15 points of his own.
The Bulls held a 25-23 advantage after the first quarter, but the Rockets stepped up their game and made things a little more interesting, taking a 107-102 lead with 36.5 seconds left in the fourth. The Dynamic Duo came to the rescue as Boozer scored on consecutive putbacks, making way for Rose's 3-point buzzer beater to head into overtime.
The Bulls have won five straight against Houston for the first time since March 1975 while snapping that two-game losing skid. The Bulls will host Oklahoma City at the Madhouse on Madison Monday.
