Bargains Galore for Movielovers This Weeekend

There are those Chicagoistos among us who didn't want me to me write this post. They didn't want me to let the cat out of the bag, instead wanting to grab all the best deals for themselves. "Isn't our 2010 Gift Guide good enough?" they carped. But, in the spirit of the season, I'm ignoring those objections.

Let's just say that when Facets, one of the largest video stores in the country, has a warehouse sale, it behooves you to show up early. And since that's just what they're doing this weekend, get ready to set up the auto-brew on your coffeemaker. This Saturday and Sunday from 10-5 they'll be offering scads of DVD's and VHS tapes for sale with discounts of up to 90% off. Many will be single copies of hard to find or out-of-print titles, and when they're gone, they're gone. This is the perfect opportunity to shop for that cinephile in your life (and, let's face it, buy a few goodies for yourself too).
