One for the Road: Buddy Guy

By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 9, 2010 10:30PM

Pretty certain we featured this video years back. As the saying goes, however, "one good turn deserves another."

This video was taken from a UK "Supershow" in 1969 headlined by Eric Clapton. Clapton has made no secret of his fondness for Buddy Guy and Clapton's series of concerts at the old Legends remains one of our singular concert experiences. Guy is probably getting ready for his own annual month-long series of shows at the new Legends (located at 700 South Wabash) in January. But we still have a sweet spot for this video, featuring Jack Bruce on bass and a special guest turn from Rahsaan Roland Kirk, who will get the "OftR" treatment in the future, guaranteed.

And, just like the song says, "Thursday's just as bad."
