"One for the Road:" Donny Hathaway

Born in Chicago, raised in St. Louis, Donny Hathaway had all the tools for musical success. He was a stellar musician and producer with a golden voice; Hathaway got his start at Twinight Records. Unfortunately, severe bouts of depression and paranoid schizophrenia helped to derail any momentum Hathaway could achieve.
In his short life, however, he left a handful of powerful songs, a series of duets with Roberta Flack, and one modern classic of a Christmas song. We've got a week or so to play "This Christmas." Today, though, we're gonna play "Little Ghetto Boy."
