Chicago French Market Celebrates Their First Year

By Minna A in Food on Dec 17, 2010 8:00PM

The Chicago French Market kicked off its one year anniversary celebration in a Chicagoan French style; with a cream puff creation of the Arc de Triomphe on a rainbow boulevard of macarons. The Chicago French Market is sharing the celebration all weekend long with two days filled with giveaways, specials and a visit from Pere Noel himself.

Despite a rocky journey, the Chicago French Market has filled out its space. Next to long-time Chicago French Market food stands like Pastoral, Vanille Patisserie and Saigon Sisters newcomers have filled in the gaps with Fasta Pasta, LM Cafe, Pappardelle's Pasta and more.

Today and tomorrow, the Chicago French Market will be offering tastings from vendors, and Esty shops for those last-minute Christmas shoppers. If you haven’t been to the Chicago French Market yet, this is the weekend to go, with $2,000 in market gift certificates being given away and a raffle to win a $300 restaurant gift certificate.

More information about the celebration can be found on the Chicago French Market website, along with the list of discounts being given at the market’s vendor stands.

The Chicago French Market is located at 131 N. Clinton.
