Despite Concerns, Bear-Vikings Game Still Set for TCF Stadium

Gee, the NFL really knew what they were doing when they decided to move Monday night's Bears-Vikings game to TCF Stadium at the University of Minnesota.
As crews work to get TCF Stadium ready to host the game, some Bears players have expressed concern over the condition of the field. Even so, Bears players union rep Robbie Gould said the team would not protest the move of the game to TCF.
Vikings fans are in for a treat, as well. TCF Stadium doesn't serve alcohol, so they're either going to have to watch the game sober or sneak in a flask. Seating for the game will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis and, since TCF Stadium seats 20,000 less than the Metrodome, some ticket holders can be further left out in the cold (those ticket holders who don't get in will be granted refunds). No outside food or beverage will be allowed.
The NFL, for its part, sounds like they're hedging their bets that the game will be played at TCF Stadium, even as they insist the game is moving forward.
It's sort of a microcosm for Minnesota itself, where they sort of dawdle along to a last-minute consensus. And here we thought Garrison Keillor was exaggerating all these years.
