Neo-Nazi Sentenced For Desecrating Jewish Graves

24-year-old Polish immigrant Mariusz Wdziekonski of Norridge was sentenced to seven years in prison for spray-painting swastikas, ethnic slurs and Nazi slogans on 70 grave markers in Westlawn Cemetery in unincorporated Norridge Park Township.

Wdziekonski denied vandalizing the graves during his trial, but prosecutors entered statements where he confessed to the acts. In sentencing Wdziekonski, Cook County Judge Larry Axelrood called Wdziekonski a man who espouses hate. “You wanted to inflict your hatred, and you wanted to inflict pain," Axelrod Said. [Sun-Times]
