Eater Chicago reached out to Bill Kim after hearing reports that someone was crank calling restaurants as the Urban Belly/Belly Shack owner, then getting straight-up "ooophh, nasty- you kiss your mother with that mouth" with the folks at the other end of the phone.

The center of the mystery is the number that pops up on the caller IDs of the restaurants that have been pranked so far is listed to Schwa. Kim tried calling Schwa to speak with chef Michael Carlson about the incidents, but is getting the voice mail message most of us get when trying to secure a reservation at Schwa. Kim told Ari Bendersky that he'd like to clear up the matter:

"I have worked very hard in this business and take great pride in the friendships that I have made along the way. Michael [Carlson] and several of the people who work with him at Schwa have been to our restaurants. We have always been very gracious to them."
