12-Year-Old Who Was Shot By Old Woman Pleads Guilty

A 12-year old boy who was shot by an elderly woman in September pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from the vandalizing of the woman's home and harassment of her that led to him being shot.

The boy and his 13-year-old friend were charged with aggravated assault of a senior citizen and criminal damage to property for breaking her windows. They allegedly knocked out the windows of Margaret Matthews, who responded by shooting at the boys. Matthews was not charged at the time of the incident, in which her neighbors defended her actions.
