Grape Juice Records Gives Out The Juice For Free

The people over at Chicago label Grape Juice Records have composed an 11-track compilation album, Friends & Family II, and as a gift to local music lovers, they're giving it away for free. The second of their annual samplers, Friends & Family II features local indie and folk rock artists they’ve represented in 2010. To name a few, it includes tracks from Jon Drake & the Shakes, Musikanto, The Shams Band, and Derek Nelson & His Musicians. You can download the album for free at Grape Juice’s Bandcamp site, where you can also pick up their first Friends & Family sampler and other freebies.

Also in Grape Juice news, the label is preparing for their third annual Windy City Winter Ball. The“ball” will be held February 5 at the Double Door and will feature Detroit Cobras, Hollows, and local rockers Rambos. Tickets go on sale January 1, at which time you can pick them through Ticketfly. Keep your eye on Grape Juice’s site for updates as they work out the details of the show.
