Yesterday we posted about a Sun-Times expose that looked at who in city, county and state government has a security detail, and the cost to taxpayers. The story listed the four city officials currently receiving bodyguard details as Mayor Daley, 14th Ward Alderman Edward Burke, City Treasurer Stephanie Neely, and a fourth official the Police Department refused to disclose. Today, the Sun-Times identified the fourth official.

Chicago Housing Authority CEO Lewis A. Jordan is the fourth official. The history of security details for Jordan and his predecessors dates back eleven years, when former CEO Phillip Jackson announced and attended community meetings related to CHA's Plan for Transformation. CHA spokeswoman Adaku Onyeka told the Sun-Times, “As you can imagine, that was kind of a contentious deal and there were security issues.”

Onyeka said that CHA is revisiting the need for a security detail for Jordan now that the Plan for transformation is nearing completion.
