IVI-IPO Announces Endorsements for February Elections. Del Valle, Rhymefest Get Nods.

2011_1_3_IVI_IPO.gif The Independent Voters of Illinois/Independent Precinct Organization released its endorsements for the February 22 city elections. City Clerk Miguel del Valle gets their nod for Mayor and, in somewhat of a surprise for us, they also endorsed Che "Rhymefest" Smith's in his campaign for 20th Ward Alderman. It wasn't hard to find his name, either, among the nods.

Possibly the biggest (non-)surprise of the list is the 23 alderman races in which IVI-IPO declined to offer an endorsement. The full list is here; candidate answers to IVI-IPO's questionnaires are available to view here.
