Illinois 88, Northwestern 63: The Illini came out of the tipoff shooting lights out, hitting 18 of their first 22 shots en route to a 47-24 halftime advantage. They could have eased off bit, but Illinois coach Bruce Weber kept up the assault after halftime. Illinois finished the game shooting an outrageous 70.5 percent from the field. Demetri McCamey led Illinois with 14 points to pace a balanced attack for the Illini and help them remain unbeaten in Big Ten play. NU was led by JerShon Cobb with 18 points. NU star John Shurna didn't take a shot for the first 6-1/2 minutes of the game and didn't make one until nearly midway through the first half. The Wildcats remain winless in the Big Ten.
