The richness of spoils that is Our Town's access to quality beers just increased big time. Firestone Walker is set fill shelves and tap handles throughout the city with its "Proprietor's Reserve" series. Firestone Walker brewer Matt Brynildson has some deep Chicago ties: he's a former head brewer at Goose Island; a founding partner at Piece Pizzeria and Brewery who was responsible for bringing in Jonathan Cutler as brewmaster there; and Revolution Brewing's Jim Cibak worked for him at Firestone Walker.

Anyway, Firestone Walker is publicly launching its arrival in Chicago with a huge kickoff at Piece next Thursday from 6-8 p.m.. They'll be pouring from the Proprietor's Reserve line: Anniversary 14, Walker’s Reserve Porter, and Double Jack IIPA.
