Está Vivo has a gift for you. The local folk-pop act is the solo project of Ryan McMahon (formerly of Bearries), and he’s sharing his summery, tropical sound by offering free downloads of his latest full-length, Together We Step.

The album is a collection of pleasant, chilled-out tunes - the kind that make you want to relax on a beach with a mai tai. “Natural Blossom,” for example, is a breezy, upbeat melody driven by a buoyant guitar riff and lively drumming, splashed with tambourine, maraca, and lightly drummed bongo. Understated vocals sing simple love lyrics like, “You’re my wild flower growing in my yard. Tried to fertilize you but nothing came out. Well I pour some love on you, watch you grow.”

You can stream the album, or download it for free and get two bonus tracks, including a cover of Stardust’s “Music Sounds Better With You,” over at Está Vivo’s Bandcamp site,
