We've been proponents of Free Energy since their good time rock and/or roll first hit our ears, and they even made our list of the best albums of 2010. The group has been touring non-stop for most of the last year and they're making their umpteenth stop in Chicago tomorrow night at Double Door. Unlike previous stops, though, this looks to be their last appearance here for a while since we hear they're finally taking a well deserved break from the constant grind of the road.

Free Energy is a band that, remarkably, seems to actually get more excited and boisterous each time they come through on tour, so we're expecting tomorrow's show to go through the roof. Chicagoans may have grown to take the band's frequent stops through town for granted, so get your fix before they indulge in a brief respite.

Tomorrow, January 20 at Double Door, 1572 N Milwaukee, 9 p.m., $12, 21+
