Scion Radio 17 To Hit Subterranean

scion17.jpg It's a bit of a pain in the ass dealing with Scion's incessant need to seem cool and ultra-relevant in the eyes of consumers, but we aren't about to deny the fact that the company knows what it's doing when it comes to sponsored events. As part of its ongoing touring monthly, Radio 17, Scion will use Subterranean's space to feature a bevy of fantastic DJs including Drop The Lime, Style of Eye, Franki Chan, Gina Turner and Kid Color. With a full slate of house and disco in store, it's up to you where the night will take you. Our bets are on the back alley dumpster with a new friend (which may or may not be a half-eaten piece of cabbage).

Drop The Lime has been a guy we can count on the past few times we've seen him. As the dude behind Trouble & Bass, Drop The Lime knows a lot about the music scene and industry. More importantly, he knows how to implement this knowledge in a good way. Just a few months back at Lincoln Hall he brought a burner of a set that spanned all sorts of deep cuts. He's been everywhere as of late, which includes a recent gig with Rusko at the Skins premiere party for MTV. He'll be joined by some equally good talent in Style of Eye, Gina Turner, Franki Chan, and local favorite Kid Color. Best of all, it's free with RSVP - a benefit of a corporate sponsored show.

Tomorrow, January 20, at Subterranean, 2011 W North, 10 p.m., 18+, FREE with RSVP
