2010_11_1_blokes_birds.jpg Are you and your sweetie more interested in gastropubs than fancy restaurants? Would you rather drink beer than champagne? Consider reserving a spot at the aphrodisiac dinner at Blokes and Birds this Valentine's day. Chef Greg Cannon has put together a three course dinner, with beer pairings, that will make your evening spectacular, during and after dinner.

For the first course, choose from oysters or seared diver scallops with sweet pea coulis, paired with a double chocolate stout. After that, move onto butter-poached lobster in chocolate sauce or muscovy duck and finish with chocolate sin cake. The entire dinner is $50 per person and an additional $25 for the beer and wine pairings. Every course has choices, so you don't have to worry about the menu being filled with things your date won't like. Reservations are available from 5:00 to 11:00 on Valentine's Day.

Blokes and Birds is located at 3343 N. Clark Street.
