Disappears Video Reaches For The Outer Limits

The local quartet’s new video for Guider opening track “Superstition” now controls the horizontal and the vertical. Disappears can deluge you with a thousand channels, or expand one single image to crystal clarity -- and beyond.

The metronomic garage-rockers can shape your vision to anything their imagination can conceive. For the next minute and fifty-four seconds, Disappears controls all that you see and hear. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the deepest inner mind to...the outer limitsstatic. Lots and lots of static and dudes looking around sullenly.

Still, great track from a great album. But may we kindly suggest the single shot anti-video has been done better? Would it be too much to ask the dude from The Ponys, or, better yet, Steve Shelley to smash the holy shit out of something at the very end? Now, there's an idea for a video...
