Love is in the Air - BYOB Romance at Simply It

Looking for romance and ambiance for Valentine's day that won’t break the bank? Lincoln Park’s neighborhood favorite, Simply It, is offering Valentine's weekend specials of flavorful, Vietnamese-inspired seafood aphrodisiacs, in addition to their stellar regular menu.

From Friday, February 11 through Monday, February 14, head over to Simply it for a special menu: A 1.5 pound Maine lobster sautéed with ginger, scallion and Chef Hung’s delicious sauce for just $25.50, or a pound of black mussels sautéed with curry, coconut milk, garlic, onion, lemongrass, topped with a mint and wine sauce for only $9.

Interested more in the ambiance? The space of Simply It is fairly small, so be quick to make your reservations! Asian art dons the walls, with paper lanterns providing low lighting in this open lofty space. The waitstaff and owner are quick to cheerfully welcome diners into the space, providing each table with a warming pot of hot tea, but also allowing enough privacy for a romantic dinner for two.

If their Valentine's specials don't appeal to you, don’t hesitate to order from their regular menu of Vietnamese treats. Particularly delicious are the shrimp spring rolls that come with a rich and fruity plum sauce, and the mango coconut beef, which comes to your table hot in a shell of a coconut.

One of the best features of Simply It? It’s BYOB with no corkage fee. Bring your own bottles of champagne or bottle of vino - perfect for avoiding Valentine's Day sticker shock.

Simply It is located at 2269 N. Lincoln Ave.
