Indiana 52, Illinois 49: With a returning class of seniors led by Demetri McCamey and Mike Tisdale, Illinois was projected to be in the top tier in the Big Ten this season. It hasn't worked out that way for the Illini, who struggled last night against Indiana in Bloomington, IN. As for the Illini, the leadership coach Bruce Weber was expecting from Tisdale and McCamey hasn't happened. The Illini also showed that they live and die by the three-point shot. Illinois shot 5 for 20 from behind the arc.
South Florida 71, DePaul 60: DePaul has done nothing to show it can compete in the Big East. Oliver Purnell's Blue Demons lost their 20th consecutive league game last night. their last Big East win was a 51-50 score over Marquette on Jan. 20, 2010.
Cleveland St. 63, UIC 49: Speaking of not competing, the Flames fell to 0-9 in Horizon League play with with a loss to the Vikings at the UIC PAvilion. The Flames led at the half, but a 26.9 percent shooting clip after the break was what did them in.
