Weekend Diversion: Only This, and Nothing More

On this day, in 1845, one of the most famous narrative poems, "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe, was first published in the New York Evening Mirror. There have been many send-ups of the poem since, from a reading by Christopher Walken, it's been put to music by the Alan Parsons Project, and you can even see what it would have been like to watch Poe reading the poem himself. But we decided to revisit one of our guilty pleasures, the 1963 take on the classic by B-movie legend Roger Corman, just one of many Poe works put on film by Corman:
