- A Chicago woman with 74 arrests under her belt was arrested yet again over the weekend in Schaumburg and was charged with stealing a woman's wallet and using her credit cards to buy iPads.
- A man who police say tried to rob an armored truck in Humboldt Park has been charged with the murder of his accomplice, who was shot and killed by guards on the truck.
- An Arizona man is suspected of making threatening phone calls to members of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce because he has a beef with Sears, which is headquarted there.
- A Gary, Indiana, man was charged with driving while impaired after police determined that he was stoned while taking his pregnant girlfriend and their two-year-old to the doctor.
- Speaking of pot, five men in Steger have been charged after the Cook County sheriff's drug unit seized over $5 million worth of marijuana.
- Two Ingleside men were injured after accidentally setting of a homemade bomb that they were building.
