Get Thee To Rehab

Three years ago two enterprising young men noticed a serious hole in the Chicago club scene; there were plenty of parties out there but there didn't seem to be a party that literally invited everyone to attend. They threw out the club kid hierarchy, adopted an anything goes attitude to the genres they would spin and decided that Monday nights would be the best time to test drive this concept they would name Rehab. That test drive grew into a road trip that grew into a regular transatlantic cruise of partying.

Tonight marks the third anniversary of Rehab -- which in club years makes their run nigh legendary -- and founders Derek Berry and Rick Carrico have lined up a doozy of a celebration to mark the occasion. The duo operates as a DJ team under the moniker Team Bayside High so it seems totally apropos that they have recruited Dustin Diamond, Screech of TV's Saved By The Bell, to serve as MC over tonight's festivities at Rehab's home, Debonair. The soundtrack will be provided by Rehab regulars Willy Joy (Kid Sister's current t0ur DJ), Greg Corner (Of Dark Wave Disco) and (of course) Team Bayside High. So grab your grey brick cellphone, gel your part into a wave and get your party Vans on ... it should be a helluva party.

Rehab to THE MAX is tonight, January 31, at Debonair, 1575 N Milwaukee, 10 p.m., FREE with RSVP, 21+
