Last-Minute Plans: Chowdah Fest Chicago; Cold Turkey at DOC Films

2011_1_31_chowdahfest.jpg We're going to get some snow tonight, but not enough to freak out about (Actually, you shouldn't be freaking out about tomorrow's snow, either.) Chowdah Fest Chicago, happening tonight at Columbia Yacht Club (here's Anthony's preview) has put up a block of discounted day-of-event admissions for $35.

If eating loads of rich, hearty chowders from some of the city's best chefs isn't your style, head down to University of Chicago's DOC Films tonight for the screening of Cold Turkey, the only feature film Norman Lear directed. If you haven't seen Cold Turkey during its many runs on THIS, it's well worth paying to see it. Our own Rob Christopher will be introducing the film.
