DOWNLOAD THEN SEE: Tiger Bones

You may have known Tiger Bones back when they were named Gay Baby. But chances are you didn’t - as the old moniker suggests, they took themselves lightly and put out very little material. Now, along with the new name, they’ve got a more distinct sound, shifting away from experimental and toward psychedelic surf rock.

Tiger Bones are already preparing for their first solid release, Go Over Here, a four-track EP due out March 1. And to give us a glimpse of the debut EP, they've released its first single “Kill Them.” The reverb-heavy track starts out slow and sparse but builds into a dense, warm wall of sound. Jangly, resonant guitar contrasts deep, distorted riffs, while uneasy vocals contrast solid drums.

While Go Over Here will be available to purchase on vinyl through their new label Dedd Foxx, a free download of the EP (with a bonus track) will be available through digital label Candy Dinner. Tiger Bones will celebrate the new EP with a record release show March 3 at The Whistler. Opening the show will be local pop act Village, who also recently released their new album, Local Moves.
