Rev. Jesse Jackson

Via Metal Sucks comes the unusually subdued meeting between two titans of their respective fields. There's Cannibal Corpse, the long-running Buffalo-based death metal group known for their appearance in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and for their blistering beats, growling vocals and gore-drenched lyrical imagery. And then there's the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who's known for his furious double-tapping guitar shredding civil rights activism and political career, both of which have roots in Chicago. How did these two meet?

Apparently, they just happened to bump into each other at the airport. Corpse was on tour in Belgium, and Jackson was on his way back from a meeting about the crisis in Haiti. The video below, which will likely be part of Cannibal Corpse's upcoming tour DVD Global Evisceration , captures the meeting between the two. Can you imagine what the conversation was like? Or Jackson's reaction when he got to a computer and Googled the band?
