Morning Box Score: Blackhawks Win Shootout Over Pittsburgh

By Chuck Sudo in News on Feb 21, 2011 3:36PM

Patrick Kane, recovered from his bout with the flu, got a forehand shot past Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury during a shootout round to lift the Blackhawks over the Penguins 3-2. Patrick Sharp scored off a Jonathan Toews pass in the first period for his team-leading 31st goal of the season. Bryan Bickell also scored for the Hawks, who earned two crucial points in their fight to qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs. But their chances don't bode well if they went to a shootout round against a Penguins squad that's missing stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
