Accidents Last Night Attributed to Icy Conditions

So the icy conditions caused by yesterday's precipitation made for some fun driving last night. The black ice that formed on patches of the area's roads led around 100 accidents last night. One of them, in Schaumburg, proved fatal.

That accident happened around 7:45 p.m. on Route 53 near I-90. The Round Lake man who was killed was inspecting his car after it spun out, when another car struck him. The man flew over the dividing rail, where he was dragged by yet another vehicle.
