We hope Eleventh Dream Day -- the Chicago quartet of Rick Rizzo, Janet Beveridge Bean, Douglas McCombs and Mark Greenberg -- never move out of their parents' metaphorical basement. The band's forthcoming Riot Now!, their tenth release in an over two decade-long career, features a band seemingly in possession of a flask of the rejuvenating waters from the fountain of youth. The guitar squall quotient is turned way up, the bass level thrum way low and Rizzo's slacked out vocals are pushed forward by Beveridge Bean's powerful drum thumping. Is the year 1981, or is it 1991, or is it 2011? We don't know and we don't care, we're just happy these kids can still bring on the rock.
