2011_2_25_Flourish1.jpg Flourish Bakery and Cafe is starting a deal next week that is sure to be a hit. On Tuesday, March 1 (and every Tuesday after that) Flourish will throw a "family dinner" - a chance to get home-cooked food without the hassle of shopping and cleanup. The price is unbeatable, the joint is sure to be hopping and great Flourish breads will be on the menu.

For $6, diners will get 1/4 pound of spaghetti, homemade sauce (meat or marina) and 1/4 of a baguette. The entire regular cafe menu will also be available, if you want to order a la carte. "We really want to be a bigger part of the community," said Flourish owner Alison Madell. "Plus, we're open till 8 anyway!" If you're looking for a low-key family night out that doesn't break the bank, you might want to make "Family Dinner" a habit - possible future meals include sloppy joes on homemade buttermilk roles, french onion soup (with Flourish bread toppers, of course) and pizza bread. Always $6, always food that your children will eat. The cafe isn't taking reservations, but they will offer the deal "to go" if there is no seating available. If there is enough demand, Flourish may expand the deal to other nights, but for now, when they run out of food on Tuesday, it's over. Go in early and get a seat - the event runs from 6-8.

Flourish Bakery and Cafe is located at 1138 West Bryn Mawr Ave.
