Openings: Fish Bar

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Mar 8, 2011 10:00PM

2011_3_8_fishbar.png Michael Kornick and David Morton, the men behind the wildly successful DMK Burger Bar, are all set to open their seafood-focused venture Fish Bar tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., right next door to DMK.

The press release we received for the 30-seat restaurant talks tall of "reminiscin' about vacations at Martha's Vineyard, Kornick's days in New Orleans and Chicago's shrimp shacks of yesteryear." If Kornick and Morton can just handle the last two, we'll be happy. Otherwise, expect a lot of sustainable seafood in the form of lobster rolls, po' boys, crab cakes, octopus a la plancha. Grub Street Chicago says they're even promising tater tots.
