Chicago No. 3 in Traffic Congestion

By Chuck Sudo in News on Mar 9, 2011 8:30PM

Here's something to chew on while you're stuck in rush hour traffic this evening. Chicago has earned the title as the third-most traffic congested city in the nation for the fourth year in a row, according to data from Inrix, which produces the annual scorecards rating stop-and-go traffic. Look on the bright side, our traffic is still better than New York and LA.

The Sun-Times even put together an interactive map — they're all the rage these days — showing the worst bottlenecks in the city. If you've ever said the Lord's name in vain at the Canalport exit on the Dan Ryan, congratulations. That's the worst spot in the city. The worst time to be driving in the city? Friday around 5:15 p.m.
