Blago, Mrs. Blago to Fill In for Don Wade and Roma Tomorrow

WLS 890 AM and Rod Blagojevich are no strangers to each other. The 50,000 watt talk blowtorch and the impeached former governor/blowhard have done business over the airwaves before. Governor Sound Bite is bringing wife Patti along for the ride as the pair fill in for the vacationing Don Wade and Roma on their morning show from 5-9 a.m. tomorrow. That might be enough to make us not tune in to Stern.

WLS-AM president and GM Michael Damsky said in the press release announcing the Blagos fill-in gig, “The time is right, given the events in the city, the state, and the region. Rod Blagojevich is an undeniably Chicago character who gets people talking. We expect that he will engage listeners and ask them to weigh in on a variety of issues that affect the state and the world and he won’t shy away from detractors. When he’s on the air, it’s must-listen radio.”
