UPDATE: CMD-SHFT-DANCE Changes Bill, Adds Lady Foursquare

By Jake Guidry in Arts & Entertainment on Mar 29, 2011 4:40PM

2011_03_28_CMD_SHFT_DANCE.jpg We hope everyone's gearing up for our CMD-SHFT-DANCE kickoff this Thursday at Beauty Bar. If you missed our announcement of the new monthly last week, just know this much: we're here to bring you Chicago's very best in dance music, month in, month out. And while our original bill included Only Children, Sparkletone and Adulture, unforeseen circumstances have forced us to change up a bit. Adulture, unfortunately, can no longer make it, but we've replaced him with none other than Lady Foursquare, one of the city's leaders in the underground dance music scene.

Lady Foursquare, a.k.a. Marea Stamper, has long been spinning in the Midwest, and recently she's gained exposure in Chicago's electronic dance scene. She both produces and DJs heavy-hitting house music, something that will fit right into our first night of CMD-SHFT-DANCE. We look forward to seeing all of you there, and if you'd like, you can RSVP on our Facebook event here.

CMD-SHFT-DANCE is Thursday, March 31, Beauty Bar, 1444 W Chicago, 10 p.m., FREE until 11 p.m. / $3 after 11 p.m., 21+
