It's time our Gluten-Free readers got some love from the world of fine dining! Mity Nice, which has undergone a fairly massive renovation and no longer feels like a food court dining room, is hosting a wine dinner curated by Alpana Singh, master sommelier and Director of beverages and spirits for Lettuce Entertain You. On April 12, Mity Nice will serve a four course meal, with wine pairings, all of which will be gluten free. The cost is $55, and the menu is below.

The particular wine pairings haven't been released yet, but the menu has. It's great to see gluten-free diners get such a decadent meal, and at a reasonable cost. Though, with filet mignon, cheese cake and stilton on the menu, the restaurant's claims of "health-conscious" dining seems a bit silly. But, you can't have everything - enjoy one evening off your diet.

  • Starter - Seared ahi tuna on rice crackers with tamari ginger glaze.
  • Appetizer - Stacked wedge salad with stilton blue cheese and pepper bacon.
  • Main - Either grilled filet mignon or herb crusted halibut with whipped yukon gold potatoes, roasted asparagus and grilled portobellos.
  • Dessert - Mini cheese cakes with raspberry coulis.

Mity Nice is located at 835 N. Michigan Avenue, inside Water Tower Place.
