Shooting Causes Bus Crash; 11 Hurt

A moving vehicle with a gunman firing shots from it led to a crash that involved a CTA bus in Englewood yesterday. 11 people were injured.

The incident happened around 9:30 yesterday at the 7400 block of South Vincennes. Witnesses said they saw gunmen get out of a truck and started firing at the car that caused the crash. The Dodge Intrepid then sped off and clipped the bus near its front door. the impact forced the bus across the intersection into a vacant lot, mowing down a light pole in its path. Most of the 11 injured were treated for cuts from broken glass. two are in hospitalized in critical to serious condition.
