Morning Box Score: Bulls Rebound in Minnesota

By Chuck Sudo in News on Mar 31, 2011 2:30PM

The Bulls put Monday's loss at home to the Sixers behind them with an emphatic 108-91 win over the Timberwolves in Minnesota. Derrick Rose scores 13 of his 23 points and dished out five of his 10 assists in the first quarter as Chicago built a 30-19 lead they never relinquished. In the process, Rose may have been making a statement to Timberwolves assistant coach and legendary Pistons goon Bill Laimbeer.

With the lead, the Bulls clamped down on defense and let Carlos Boozer do the heavy lifting. Boozer had his best game since returning from an ankle sprain with a team-high 24 points and 14 rebounds. Minnesota center Kevin Love led his team with 16 points and 9 boards. With the win the Bulls extended their lead in the Eastern Conference standings to 2-1/2 games over the Boston Celtics.
